Coffee With Rajendra - A conversational psychotherapy experience
Hello there. I'm Rajendra Meena.
I practice conversational psychotherapy through which I have conversations which help my clients develop greater awareness of their emotions and core values, and find healthier and balanced adaptations to deal with dilemmas and cognitive conflicts in their life. I do not provide psychiatric/medical treatment. My aim is rather to provide emotional understanding and support for anyone who requires it, and to help them heal from depression, anxiety, relationship traumas and other psychological issues.
Conversational psychotherapy isn't meant to be reserved only for those who are in extreme mental agony, rather, it is for everyone, and is as casual as going for a regular haircut. Just as one doesn't have to have particularly untidy hair in order to be qualified to visit a barber, one doesn't have be particularly in trouble to seek psychotherapy / counselling. It's a casual, normal, and everyday thing. Attending psychotherapy is not an admission of our inability to manage our own life troubles, but an admission of lacking the time, attention, psychological scissor, comb, and large mirrors which could help us untangle and process our thoughts and emotions with greater effectiveness, especially at critical times involving important life choices.
Psychotherapy is as good as the psychotherapist practicing it. I follow these 10 principles in my conversational psychotherapy practice for maintaining globally accepted ethical standards:
